I had a birthday dream
And you were there,
You were driving the Beemer
Country roads somewhere,
An all around good time day
A little shopping, lunch and more,
And when it was time to leave
We shared a hug at the kitchen door.
I was reminded of that day of Mardis Gras
We were searching for a black cat bone,
Around your neck you wore your Gris-gris
We left John the Conqueror at home,
This potpourri of ingredients
Blended for a most pleasant excursion,
Hanging out with the Queen of Wands
Is the most delightful diversion.
My birthday dream ended abruptly
Too much excitement, I suppose,
Everything was so dreamy and mellow
Until you removed your clothes.
