Plain Strangers

Strangers on a plane
Are not, just plain strangers,
Families, students, business persons
Creative rearrangers,
Appearing organized enough
To manage relocation,
Pleasure trips for some
For others, their vocation.

Stranger’s on a plane
Unknown to each other,
Common similarities
Parents, sisters and brothers,
Some good, some bad
Some indifferent or not,
Still strangers on a plane
Are all that we’ve got.

Stranger’s on a plane
Comrades of a sort,
All well behaved
I am happy to report,
We’re in for the penny
And in for the pound,
We strangers on the plane
Are the best to be found.
